WASTE PREVENTION THROUGH COMPOSTING IN PARTNERSHIP WITH ENRICH LA

Unilever is proud to continue our partnership with Enrich LA in 2019 by supporting a composting program at 20 partner schools!

Together we are Growing Roots

Enrich LA’s Garden Ranger Program will work closely with teachers and Food Services at our partner schools to collect and compost food scraps that would otherwise end up in the landfill. Through the participation in this program, students will gain an understanding of the benefits of food waste prevention and an appreciation of how the composting process sustains healthy organic school gardens. By the end of the school year, hundreds of pounds of food scraps will be diverted from landfills, and will instead become rich and healthy compost that will help replenish the soil of our school gardens.
